Looking over the photos I’ve selected for this post I seem to have been in a rather pensive mood ;( ….must remember to smile next time! Its harder than you think when there is no photographer standing by to encourage you…yep its a selfie!
I was about to write a style post and my theme was to be the colour Merlot…which I have to say I’m rather obsessed with at the moment…As I was about to go to press 😉 …ha! delusions of grandeur I hear you thinking…I received an e-mail from these guys over at Feedspot to tell me that my little blogging effort has been picked as one of the Top 75 Worldwide Baby Boomer blogs!!! ;0 😀 …thank you so much guys, and good luck with your project too x
So to return to my theme of wine…I’m going to be celebrating tonight with a glass or several of the same!
Here I’m wearing comfy combats with sneakers…or more accurately what we Brits call Plimsoles ;)… a loose poet style blouse and a fav scarf in the perfect colour combo to pull everything together, (with a liberal scatter of skulls for the badass vibe) 😉 … Altogether perfect transitional style for the casual gal like me.
Featuring a mini Rockie bag by Alexander Wang just scored on sale from The Outnet…my favourite site for designer bargains 😀
I often receive comments from my lovely followers about the way that I layer necklaces. The only tip I can offer is that as long as you like them all they will go together…personal taste being the unifying factor. I just throw them on…usually all at the same time, over my head! When I’m not wearing neck candy they can be find all around the house draped over desk lamps or hanging on cupboard door handles :O …fortunately Mr F doesn’t seem to find them an odd display!
I am wearing a cream blouse (old) similar here , combat pants from Zadig & Voltaire, similar here , scarf from the same brand here , Alexander Wang Rockie here , H&M plimsoles (sneakers to my American friends!) similar here and sunglasses similar here
…and now I’m off to pour that celebratory glass of wine…Merlot of course 😉 Cheers #feedspot.com
In the above photo I’m wearing boyfriend jeans, these are old from #denim&supplyrl, a feminine blouse in soft cotton voile (a perennial fav of mine), new from #IsabelMarantEtoile via #MyTheresa.com. The cardi is super fine and light weight, perfect for in between seasons, from #Zadig&Voltaire. The sneakers are new Adidas, super comfy in soft grey suede, I’ve lived in these since they arrived from My Theresa earlier in the week…see Instagram photos! The bag is an old favourite from #Chloe and the sunnies are by #carrera – I rarely stray from my love of Aviator style glasses.
Here I’m wearing the same cardi over a t-shirt from the same brand with white jeans – Oo la la after Labour Day 😉 … Badasses don’t follow rules ;0
Here I’ve switched my bag for an old faithful from the Spanish brand #BimbayLola …it holds a lot of stuff and just exactly matches the blue in the print of the T
Here I’ve switched the asymmetric cardi for a long duster style – American Vintage again – and brought out another bag…Hm! I think I’m addicted!
Boho blouse from Oysho, jeans the same, bag from Zadig & Voltaire
Necklace hand made by me!
Watch is from Fendi. I’ve had this for around 10 years and wear it almost every day so definitely worth the investment. I love the mix of gold and silver metals which makes this a very versatile accessory, as well as being practical.
Rockin’ red, leopard and denim…what could be more Rock ‘n’ Roll?! I love these sunnies which are a little 70s John Lennon and Yoko Ono…from Spanish brand Web.
Various pieces of silver jewelry stacked at random! All old…
Parisienne Forever tee from #Zadig&Voltaire and the same label’s iconic Rock clutch…this one in leopard calf skin and black leather with a red lining…bliss! ;0…These jeand are the perfect destroyed boyfriend pair from #Abercrombie&Fitch
Love the double chains on this bag…perfect length for cross body or shoulder style.
I’m lovin’ this cotton, embroidered top from #Oysho (sister shop to Zara), here with distressed boy-friend cut denims from #Abercrombie and Fitch. My bag is from the #Zadig & Voltaire Rock collection…I LOVE this brand! Necklace is one that I made!
I’m wearing this look with white canvas sneakers…what we Brits call Plimsolls. Enjoy your Saturday, Sarah x
This must be the third time around for me and pink denim lol! It is, as you can see, an on-going love affair 😉 Here I’m wearing distressed jeans from #Zara with a boho cotton shirt from #Oysho (part of the amazing Zara group)…it’s the perfect place to shop for summer separates and swimwear for those of you travelling to Spain for your holidays. I’m also sporting white canvas sneakers from #H&M, and I’ve accessorised with #Zadig&Voltaire scarf and my fav #Chloe bag. The necklace is one of my own making 😀
There are many trends that come and go so fast that it can be difficult to know which time around it is ;D …for me military styling is a go to look pretty well anytime of the year, and I have probably re purchased practically the same item multiple times over the years…I suppose that this is one of the downsides of knowing your own style!
Shirt unbuttoned over white vest and sporting a Balenciaga cross-body bag, this one scored second hand from Vestiare Collective ;)…as I’ve said before, I like the concept of recycling, and I spotted this beauty after I’d cleared out and sold 4 others from my stash. I seem to have a serial handbag habit ;(
Here I completed my look with a dog-tag, aviator shades and a bunch of silver rings!
Style in detail…here THE bag 😉 , guitar strap, sunnies and my usual silver/gold mix of contemporary jewelry. The oval ring is from Vivienne Westwood’s early days with Malcom McLaren and the foundation of Punk Rock!
