Strategic Buying ;)

So when the sun comes out so does my softer boho side ;O I debuted this blouse on Instagram earlier this week with a pair of aqua jeans (very old) and a striped cardi-coat ditto.  The blouse is from Isabel Marant Etoile, exact here  or here and it is the most recent in a long line of summer blouses I have bought (one each year) from this label.  Why?

  • Because I like the designer’s boho, free-spirit look
  • I prefer natural fibers as they ‘breath’ and feel comfortable in the heat.
  • A soft cotton just keeps on getting better, the more you wash and wear the better it gets.

Above I’m wearing ‘the’ blouse for a photo-shoot with my friend Iza.  This time I’m wearing it with white jeans (Last year’s from Zadig) exact here but cheaper ones would look fine here

The remainder of my outfit is several seasons old but looks fresh with the one new addition.  Similar aqua cardi here or this one would work here The long grey cardi was from American Vintage, another of my fav brands, no longer available but I loooove this one here

These sunnies are Rayban’s here and these ones are similar here

The bag is Chloe, clearly an investment piece, but it is in its 3rd year now!  Exact here and a cheaper alternative, in my new obsession: tan here

My boots are more than a couple of years old too ;O similar here and here I really like these here and the color would look great with the pick tones (yes really) that will make up the remainder of my new season buys, (btw I love this more affordable cardi here  if I fail to get my hands on the divine Zadig cashmere :O here  that I’ve been obsession over ever since our photo-shoot in the Zadig & Voltaire shop)

…which takes me back to the versatility of that blouse!

Back to strategic buying.  My approach is to review what I have and buy a few ‘perfect’ pieces to Gussie-up my existing closet.  I prefer to buy good quality pieces from my favorite brands and make them last.  Once I have exhausted the versatility of my clothes I resell them on sites like Vestiaire Collective.  I don’t like contributing to landfill and I feel guilty if I waste money.  That’s all for now folks…more on my wish list later.

As always thank you for stopping by, Sarah x
